Information You Submit
Text entered in a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, is sent to the outside provider that supplies the results. We do not save a separate search history on our servers. When you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them to answer the message.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary logs that can contain an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. Aggregate log data helps us maintain the service and see which material visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How the Data Is Used
We use this limited information to run the site, diagnose faults, count traffic, and improve content. We neither sell visitor lists nor create profiles about individual readers.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to National City pages, San Diego County and California portals, courts, libraries, and outside search services. Information submitted on one of those services is controlled by its privacy policy, not this one. Sponsored search results are also furnished by a separate company with its own data practices.
When Information Is Shared
Hosting and support vendors process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. We may disclose data when valid legal process requires it, but we do not otherwise distribute visitor information.
Our Security Practices
An encrypted connection serves the site, and logs are kept only for as long as the stated purposes require. Because there are no reader accounts, National City People Search does not hold an account password or personal profile for visitors.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if a minor appears to have sent personal information so it can be removed.
Your California Privacy Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, begins at Civil Code section 1798.100 and may grant rights to know, correct, or delete personal information, subject to its scope and exceptions. Because we retain little information, a request will generally involve checking contact messages and available logs. Submit one through the Contact page. Records held by National City, San Diego County, or California agencies remain under the custodian's control, so any correction or removal request for an official record must go to that office.
